Paranoia? Or excitement?

The betrayal of a secret document a friend sent to me has now been posted on 4chanarchive.

By this, I am referring to The Prophecy of the Lords, the shittiest piece of shit I have ever read, which I posted on /lit/ one day in hopes that the users of 4chan might find it amusing, or alternatively tear out their eyes in a confusing mix of anger and sadness.

I would probably have gotten away with it, too, if the aforementioned thread doesn't link to this very blog. A few people I know in real life probably read 4chanarchive, and it's likely that at least one person from the forum involved does too. So what is likely to happen is that the author of this dreck will be notified that I posted his shit all over the internet. If I'm lucky, he'll have a good laugh. If not, he'll be very, very angry.

Furthermore, if the aforementioned people I know somehow link this blog to me, it might result in quite a shitstorm.

A paranoid person would put their blog on private. I did for a few moments, then noticed that an anon had posted a comment on the post linked in the thread. So I've decided to leave the blog public and see what kind of traffic I get. Doubtless I'll draw in some haters, anyway. If nothing happens, well, at least the experience was interesting.

By the way, the guy who posted in that thread claiming to be the author is not the actual author.
I have, however, agreed to look at an animation project the real author is doing (you can see where this is going), perhaps as a sort of penance for not finishing proofreading this, perhaps because I want to see whether he has actually improved, perhaps because I am a masochist.

This was his comment on The Prophecy of the Lords:

That one was my first time, quite a few years ago since writing now. Looking back at it, I do feel kind of ashamed. But i've made sure to work out the kinks for this one, and for safety measures, hired a proof reader (friend from university).

1 people have seen the light.:
